In short: we want everyone to be able to find out about the event and register without barriers. This website has been designed following WCAG 2.2 (level AA) and offers its own accessibility settings.

1. Our commitment

Genivs Insulae is committed to making this website accessible to everyone, regardless of ability or the technology they use. We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, and the European standard EN 301 549.

2. Conformance status

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Our own content has been designed and reviewed to meet it; the exceptions are due to third-party content (the map) and the points described under “Known limitations”.

3. Measures taken

  • Clear structure: hierarchical headings, landmarks (header, navigation, main content and footer) and a “Skip to content” link.
  • Keyboard: the whole website can be used without a mouse, with a visible focus indicator. Dialogs (speaker profiles, gallery, cookies and accessibility) keep focus and close with the Escape key.
  • Images: all informative images have alternative text; decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.
  • Colour and contrast: text meets the AA minimum contrast ratio and information does not rely on colour alone.
  • Registration form: every field has a label, required fields are marked and errors are announced and linked to the relevant field. It includes a field to state accessibility needs for in-person attendance.
  • Motion: if your system has “Reduce motion” enabled, animations are switched off. You can also pause them from the accessibility settings.
  • Responsive design: the website adapts from 320 px wide to large screens and supports browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content.
  • Languages: every page declares its language and the website is available in Spanish, Catalan and English.
  • No time limits to complete the registration.

4. Accessibility settings

The button with the accessibility icon, in the bottom-right corner of every page, and the “Accessibility settings” link in the footer open a panel where you can:

  • increase the text size (normal, large or extra large);
  • turn on high contrast;
  • pause animations, including the logo carousel;
  • underline links;
  • increase reading space (line height and letter and word spacing).

Your choice is stored only in your browser (genivs_b4i_a11y), as explained in the cookie policy, and you can reset it at any time. These settings complement the tools in your browser and operating system (zoom, screen reader, high-contrast mode…).

5. Known limitations

  • Third-party content: the Google Maps map depends on its provider and we cannot guarantee its accessibility. The address and directions are always available as text on the website itself.
  • Translations: the Catalan and English versions were prepared with the help of AI tools and human review; if you spot an error, please let us know.

6. Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 1 October 2026 through a self-assessment: automated tests (Lighthouse and axe) and manual review with the keyboard, at different screen sizes (320 to 1920 px) and with the accessibility settings enabled. It will be reviewed whenever the website changes significantly.

7. Feedback and contact

If you encounter a barrier, need information in another format or want to make a suggestion, write to us at info@genivsbarcelona4impact.com. If you need support to attend the event, say so in the registration form or in that same email.

8. Legal framework

We follow the W3C’s WCAG 2.2, the European standard EN 301 549, Directive (EU) 2019/882 on the accessibility requirements for products and services and its transposition in Spain through Law 11/2023, and Royal Legislative Decree 1/2013 approving the consolidated text of the General Law on the rights of persons with disabilities and their social inclusion.
